Sainte-Chapelle

Began in the post-1239 time, Saint-Chapelle is considered among the highest achievement of Gothic architecture. Commissioned built by King Louis IX of France to house his collection of emotion effects, including Crown of thorns of Christ, which is one of the most important monuments in the Christian Middle Ages. Although the damaged during the French Revolution, and the restoration of the 19th century, it retains one of the most comprehensive on-site collections of 13th century stained glass anywhere in the world.
